So, Ognomy Sleep reinvented it, making it simple to receive life-changing professional care faster, from the comfort of your own home, and very likely covered by insurance.
Schedule a Telehealth Visit
How Ognomy Sleep works in 4 steps
Select & Meet Your Sleep Specialist

A sleep specialist will join you for a virtual visit scheduled at your convenience, where you’ll share your sleep and weight concerns. If appropriate, an FDA approved sleep study device will be prescribed, and shipping to your home will be initiated during the same virtual session. Blood testing may be recommended as well to get a comprehensive picture of your metabolic health.

Take the At-Home Test

Upon arrival, follow the simple step-by-step instructions to wear the device on your finger or wrist overnight. Then, hit the hay.

Discuss the Results, Get Treatment

A follow-up telehealth appointment will be scheduled with your sleep clinician. You’ll spend time understanding your results and, if appropriate, the therapy and options that make sense for you, which may include weight-loss medication and select sleep and lifestyle therapies. Prescriptions and orders will be placed right then, and shipped to you.

Feel Better, Stay Better

We’ll schedule check-ins so that together, we’re understanding your progress and helping you reach your sleep goals. We can help you troubleshoot concerns, and when needed, pivot to new approaches. Ognomy Sleep is here with you so you feel better fast and stay better for life.

Get Seen. Get Treated. Get Better.

What is Obstructive Sleep Apnea?

Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) is a prevalent and serious sleep disorder that involves the airway becoming repeatedly blocked during sleep, leading to paused breathing and oxygen deprivation. Commonly caused by the collapse of throat tissues, it can result in loud snoring, choking noises and frequent awakenings, potentially contributing to health problems such as high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, diabetes and depression.

Can I use my insurance with Ognomy Sleep?

Ognomy Sleep has sleep specialists available in all 50 US States. We accept most insurances and verify coverage as part of the appointment scheduling  process. You will not be charged until insurance is verified and any copay, coinsurance, or deductible is communicated to you.

If you don’t have insurance, or if your insurance will not cover the costs, we offer self pay options and can discuss those with you after your appointment is set.

You can cancel your appointment up to 24 hours in advance with no charge.

What does this cost?

For the in-home test:
If paying by insurance, your sleep test may be fully covered, or you may be required to pay a portion of the cost (coinsurance or copay). Patient responsibility usually runs between $25 and $70 and will be dependent on your coverage. If you have coinsurance for sleep studies, you will generally pay less for a home sleep study compared to an in-lab study.

For the telemedicine visit:
Depending on your insurance you may have a specialist visit copay. Ognomy Sleep does not charge any fees other than your copay or coinsurance.

If you have a high-deductible plan or no health insurance at present, Ognomy offers a self-pay option that includes an initial sleep specialist consultation, a home sleep test, and follow-up consultation for $299.

You will never be charged a fee without your prior approval.

For prescriptions or additional therapies:
There may be charges for medications or additional devices or therapies ordered according to your treatment plan. Your payment responsibility will be determined by your insurer as it is for any medication or treatment you receive from traditional healthcare services.

The Ognomy team will assist with prior authorization support to help gain approval from your insurer in any way we can.

How does the in-home sleep test work?

The Ognomy Sleep at-home sleep study is FDA approved and is shipped directly to your home. The test will monitor your oxygen, breathing levels, and pulse rate overnight.

Ognomy Sleep provides easy-to-follow instructions enabling you to self-administer the test from the comfort and convenience of home.

You will wear the device for one night, or more if determined by your sleep specialist, then send it back to Ognomy Sleep if required. The study will be reviewed by a sleep technician to be sure the sleep test was successful, and then interpreted by your doctor, who will decide the best course of action depending on your results.

This home testing option reduces the amount of time you would spend at numerous in-person appointments with a doctor, at a sleep center, or collecting and returning the equipment.

After your initial telemedicine appointment, you should be able to complete your home sleep study, review results with your sleep specialist, and decide on the best treatment for you - all within a couple of weeks.

Who are the doctors on Ognomy Sleep?

Ognomy Sleep has sleep specialists licensed in all 50 US States.

Our sleep specialists are doctors and experienced nurse practitioners (NPs) and physician assistants (PAs) focused on sleep wellness and healthcare associated with sleep. They are passionate about helping patients achieve better sleep, better health, and a better quality of life.

Our clinicians join Ognomy Sleep for many of the same reasons as our patients. They find the platform to be user friendly, and it allows them to care for more individuals vs. solely utilizing traditional sleep study and treatment methods.

When booking your appointment you’ll be presented key details about sleep specialists available in your state, including their background and training.

How do you treat Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA)?

Depending on your clinical presentation and severity of Obstructive Sleep Apnea, you and your provider will discuss various treatment options including CPAP therapy, oral appliance therapy, various surgical interventions including Inspire® hypoglossal nerve stimulation therapy, as well as Zepbound® (tirzepatide), the only FDA approved medication for Obstructive Sleep Apnea.

How can Zepbound® (tirzepatide), as part of Ognomy’s comprehensive weight management program, help improve Obstructive Sleep Apnea for adults with obesity?

The medication may improve moderate-to-severe OSA and aid in long-term weight loss for adults with obesity, when combined with a reduced-calorie diet and physical activity.

FDA approval for the treatment of OSA by Zepbound® (tirzepatide) was based on this study.

Does Zepbound® (tirzepatide) have any potential side effects?

The most common side effects of Zepbound include nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, stomach (abdominal) pain, indigestion, injection site reactions, feeling tired, allergic reactions, belching, hair loss, and heartburn. These are not all the possible side effects of Zepbound. Talk to your healthcare provider about any side effect that bothers you or doesn’t go away.
